What’s the Big Deal About Not Having a Morning Routine?
Here are the bad occurrences that contributed to my weariness, dissatisfaction, and poor work performance
- Rushing – I would sleep in until the last possible moment, forcing me to rush and forget things or have a rage tantrum in traffic. This also caused my mind to wander to other appealing locations, causing a diversion.
- A lack of mindfulness – I felt disorganized and dissatisfied (until I drank my two to three coffees)
- Physical stiffness – I didn’t want to face the day since I was achy and immobile.
I also had to cope with a slew of additional concerns. Worse, the consequences of the preceding. The biggest result I noticed was a decrease in productivity. I’d get frustrated because I’d start each day stressed, distant, and unhappy, and it would impair my work. I was preoccupied. In my head, I’d continually create scenarios of who or where I could be. Achievement is a major source of joy. So, if production is down, happiness is down as well.
